Why aKDPhi:
I rushed for the community! KDPhis make up a tight community on campus, and that's reassuring. aKDPhi has also given me the opportunity to meet new people, take up leadership positions, and connect with older girls for mentorship.

Why aKDPhi:
aKDPhi has given me a home away from home at UChicago. These amazing girls are the perfect people to share stories, struggles, adventures, laughs, late nights in or out, unproductive first level Reg time, and FOOD with. Beyond just our chapter, KDPhi has introduced me to sisters and brothers all over the world, creating a community that always makes me feel welcome no matter where I am. I know that even after graduation, I'll always be close with the amazing people I met through aKDPhi!

Why aKDPhi:
I really like the small close knit community aKDPhi offers and the various personalities that compose the organization. I also like the external exposure aKDPhi provides me, allowing me get to acquaint with our local Hyde Park community, UChicago RSOs, and the greek life within UChicago and at other schools.

Big Sister:
Sheila "Zesty" Ho
Major(s):

Year:
Class of 2015
Hometown:
Bridgewater, NJ
Interests:
Band, skiing/snowboarding, tennis, sketching/painting
Why aKDPhi:
I met a bunch of the sisters either during my first year or before college, and found that I really liked everyone -- I wanted to get to know them better and meet the rest of the aKDPhis. I also wanted to participate in all of the fun/different aKDPhi activities and events with them. Now that I'm a part of aKDPhi, there are also other aspects I appreciate very much that I didn't realize in the beginning: being a part of an international aKDPhi community that extends past college, and being a part of Multicultural greek life. It's hard to describe, but it definitely feels like I've become a part of a greater community of people.
